Let me first of all express my appreciation to all those
individuals and organizations alike who are involved in one way or the
other in sharing with the needs and pains of people, especially the
children all over the world.I want to say thanks and God bless you.
Each time I open my Bible to study the word of God, I take special
interest to identify firstly those things that please the Lord most
and secondly I look for those things that make people succeed or fail
in life. For example, what made people succeed or fail in wars, health,
wealth, and name it. I was excited to know that the only thing that
pleases the Lord most is obedience and reverence to His word and this
is the bases for success and failure in life.In discovering this
key factor, I went further to dig out those things I would do under
obedience to gladden the heart of the Lord, I was amazed to know that
among other things like praise and worship and obeying the commandments
and so on, another major thing that moves the heart of God is my
attitude towards the orphans, fatherless, widows and the poor in their
time of need.Sharing in the plight of the poor children, widows and
the underprivileged who are going through pains of hunger, pains of
what to wear, pains of war, pains of sickness....pains ,pains, pains touches the heart of God so much that He puts Himself in their shoes
when He says in Matthew 25; Away from me for you are under God's
curse, away to the eternal fire which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels! I was hungry but you would not feed me, thirsty but
you would not give me a drink; I was a stranger but you would not
welcome me in your home, naked but you would not cloth me; I was sick
and in prison but you would not take care of me.Then they will answer
Him;When Lord did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger
or naked or sick or in prison and we would not help you? The king will
reply, I tell you whenever you refuse to help one of these least important ones, you refuse to help me and they will be sent to
eternal punishment.Matthew 25;41-46.
Remember, when Job was accussed of sins against God by his friends,
this is what he had to say to plead his case with God. I quote; I
have never refused to help the poor;never have I let the widow live in despair or let the orphans go hungry while I ate. All my life I have
taken care of them. When I found someone in need , too poor to buy cloths, I wounld give him clothing made of wool that had come from my
own flock of sheep. If I have ever cheated an orphan, knowing I could
win in court, then may my arms be broken; may they be torn from my
shoulders. Job 31;16-22.
Then the Lord summed it up in James 1;27 where He says, I quote; Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
God has measured His peoples' righteousness through ages from the way
they responded to the pains of others and that is the way He is
measuring us today.
People are going through pains in the world, especially the children
let us do all we can to help. God bless you.
